Metal Frames

Metal framed windows were typically used in older properties.

While it is possible to replace failing units (1) with modern alternatives such as UPVC, some customers prefer to retain the character of the original window units.

This particular metal window frame was badly corroded (2) and required full refurbishment.

The window frame was removed and the aperture was boarded (3). The boarding was then made weather tight (4).

The customer’s property was left secure while the window unit was sent for refurbishment and coating.

The refurbished unit (5) was returned and installed at the customer’s home.

The repair was completed with new glass (6).
